Samsung F200 Music Phone

Samsung F200 Music Phone
Remember the Samsung X830 music phone? Base on its slim design, Samsung is presenting their F200 music phone with similar body design. Compare to the 1GB built in memory in X830, the poor Samsung F200 only gets 5MB. MicroSD memory card is definitely needed for your music collection.

Its keypad is now back to 3 in a row, buttons are smaller to squeeze in the 3 buttons in a row. Navigation keypad below the LCD screen has also back to the traditional design. The music player will support MP3, WMA, OGG, DCF, SMP file format.

Enjoy a Gold MOTOKRZR This July 4th

Enjoy a Gold MOTOKRZR This July 4th
Recently received this offer in the email:

This Fourth of July, add a little brilliance with the gold MOTOKRZR unlocked -- brilliant and beautiful independence.

You can drop $250 for the phone itself, or $280 for a the phone-headset (which is also gold) bundle. $70 gets you only the headset. Take note, the only difference between a normal KRZR and this version is superficial.

With all the newer MOTO models making their debut, is this special edition MOTOKRZR worth its weight in gold, in a good or bad way?

First Reviews of the Apple iPhone Appear

First Reviews of the Apple iPhone Appear
Just a few oh-so-short days before the hype ends on June 29, when the Apple iPhone goes on sale in AT&T and Apple retail stores throughout the US, the first genuine reviews of the heavily-anticipated smartphone are starting to appear. Turns out my fears about the virtual keyboard were unfounded:

Walt Mossberg & Katherine Boehret: "The keyboard issue on the iPhone is a non-issue." (video)

David Pogue: "....once you stop stressing about each individual letter and just plow ahead, speed and accuracy pick up considerably."

Edward C. Baig: "Finger-tapping takes getting used to. Best advice: Start typing with one finger before graduating to two thumbs."

Common gripes covered the lack of true 3G, but everyone was surprised with the relatively scratch-resistant exterior, which included the real glass screen. Now you'll have a better idea if plopping down $599 (for the 8GB model) or $499 (4GB) will be worth it.

But if you wanted to be first in line, you're too late.

DNA: Third Mobile Operator

DNA: Third Mobile Operator
This is an interesting and hilarious print advertisement campaign launched by DNA, mobile operating company of Finland. The campaign seems to be emphasizing the fact that DNA is the third mobile operator and operating in circumstances when two other mobile operators have already playing dominant position in the market yet the third mobile operator making its way into the market. The advertisements are showing the third mobile operator fighting and nailing two existing mobile operators in order to depict its ability and efficiency to fight against them.

The DNA has been projected as a, usually helpless, brave lamb; knight and a tiny person from Gullivers Travels fictional story, while the two operators have been depicted as dragons, wolf and the giant person of Jonathan swifts famous work. However, the advertisement showing a lamb with a gun and looking at his two predators seems to be the most effective and impressive.

The presentation of the campaign and the treatment of the basic idea is quite fascinating and amusing that helps delivering the message effortlessly. The punch line of the advertisement campaign is, Third mobile operator: DNA. The campaign was created by TBWA/PHS, Helsinki, Finland.

More Reason why Smartphones and PDAs Will Eventually Do it All

More Reason why Smartphones and PDAs Will Eventually Do it All

If it isn't obvious that today's smartphones and PDAs pack in more features than their predecessors, it's time to pull your head out of the sand. Obviously, smartphonesource and PDAs like the O2 Xda Atom Life are definitely better than the 9300 Communicatsource. Aside from boasting deeper feature sets, these newer gadgets are better at traditional things, such as sending texts or handling calls.

As manufacturers and developers come up with new technologies to squeeze out more of the same size, it's inevitable that smartphones and PDAs will soon make your breakfast, do the laundry, and bring you to work. Well, manufacturers have to first solve current problems such as facilitating text input, providing faster and more reliable connectivity, and of course longer battery lives.

Another area that's crucial to mobile gadgets' growth as do-it-all devices is memory capacity. In fact, without lots of memory, a gadget's capabilities are pretty limited. That's why Samsungsource announcing the development of an 8GB MicroSD is exciting news. 8GBs is a lot of space, especially when we're talking about the mobile world. And it's pretty amazing that someone can cram in that much capacity in a fingernail-sized memory card.

8GBs can handle a lot more contacts, appointments, and notes than your typical smartphone and PDA does. And 8GBs can also store lots of multimedia (2,000 songs, double that in photos, and hundreds of videos, depending on the quality you use).

In other words, the more memory mobiles and handhelds have at their disposal, the more they can do. Which is why memory breakthroughs like Samsung's 8GB MicroSD are yet another reason why smartphones and PDAs will eventually do it all.

The Treo 680, 750, or 755p

The Treo 680, 750, or 755p
We've already talked about OtterBoxes before. And these really tough, pocket-bulging cases follow military specifications, meaning they're designed to protect a smartphone or PDA even under very hostile conditions. Despite the strong layers of protection hOtterbox still allows access to most of the gadget's functions. Think of it as a locked vault that lets you spend the money inside. Something like that.

Treo fans who want to guard their smartphone against abuse--for the right (going to a construction site) or wrong (using it as a baseball substitute) rerecently announced Otterbox 1921 is the ruggedized case for you. Aside from providing drop, shock, water, and dust resistance, the Otterbox 1921 still lets you use the Treo's touch-screen, take pictures with the smartphone's camera, hear audio from its speaker, and of course, make full use of the QWERTY thumboard. All while the case is snugly shut.

So, if you're a new Treo owner and don't mind turning a portable smartphone into a bulky yet well-protected gadget,OtterBox.com. Even if you don't own a Treo, Otter Products Inc. (the manufacture) makes ruggedized cases for a variety of smartphones and PDAs.
