Atari 2600 Plug and Play Keychains
In the olden days of gaming, when quarters were a hot commodity and color graphics were the newest innovation, one name stood out as king: Atari.
The games were visually simple, but still retain their hold as some of the most challenging and fun games ever created. Sadly, it's just too difficult to carry around an Atari system and a bag of cartridges and controllers (both joystick and paddle) with you wherever you go. So, we've found a pocket sized solution.........

Nice looking Lemur software clone
If you're lusting after a JazzMutant Lemur controller, but don't have €2,000, here is a cheap alternative. Mono Touch Live runs on any PC with any touchscreen monitor, and it's set up to control Ableton Live. It's not the first, but it's (nearly) a real commercial product, and it certainly has the look.
It was developed by Argentinian DJ Pablo Martin (DJ Grobe), and should be available in October. Obviously it's single touch only (one of the a number of magic things about the real lemur is that you can control as a number of parameters as you have fingers, simultaneously). It's not user-programmable, and it doesn't come in a super-cute all-in-one controller, but until Behringer release the Marmoset MS1000 multi-touch controller for £99, it's the best we have.........

Photovoltaics From Organic Semiconductors
Schematic of a junction between two organic semiconductors
Malliaras lab/Cornell Universit
Imagine T-shirts that light up, or a beach umbrella that collects solar energy to run a portable TV. How about really cheap solar collectors for the roof?
All this and more could come from cutting-edge research at Cornell that demonstrates a new type of organic semiconductor device which shows electroluminescence and acts as a photovoltaic cell. The device is the first to use an "ionic junction," which scientists say could lead to improved performance. Since organic semiconductors can be made in thin, flexible sheets, they could create displays on cloth or paper.
"Flexible means low-cost fabrication," said George Malliaras, Cornell associate professor of materials science and engineering, in whose laboratory the research was done. And that means another result of the research could be mass-produced, inexpensive solar cells.
The work is described in the Sept. 7 issue of the journal Science in a paper by Cornell graduate scientists Daniel Bernards and Samuel Flores-Torres, Hector Abruña, the E. M. Chamot Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell, and Malliaras.
Semiconductors -- organic or otherwise -- are materials that contain either an excess of free electrons (N-type) or "holes" (P-type). Holes are spaces where an atom ought to have an electron but doesn't, representing a positive charge. N- and P-type materials can be joined to form diodes and transistors. The Cornell scientists went a step further by making a diode out of organic semiconductors that also contain free ions (molecules with an electrical charge). They laminated together two organic layers, one that contained free positive ions and the other negative ions. They then added thin conducting films on the top and bottom; the top conductor is transparent to allow light in and out.........

Zino 810
Is Meizu making its Miniplayer smaller? No! Let see properly. It is the new Zino 810 which hass similar design with Meizu's Miniplayer but in smaller dimension. It sizes 74mm x 48mm x 9.3mm and weights only 40g. From the given specification, it is most likely based on the new Rockchip solution.
We have MSC Dino A that cloned iPod Nano. And now, we have Zino that ripoff Miniplayer!........

Biodegradable dinnerware
It's true, I don't host many brunches or entertain a lot from home, but if I did, I would definitely get these biodegradable dinnerware sets, not just because they are attractive (call me boring, but I hate paper plates with designs on them, especially seasonal and holiday themes), but because they are made of 100% biodegradable, compostable sugar cane fiber, and the utensils are made of 80% potato starch and 20% vegetable oil.
Sugar cane fiber is a renewable resource, and these pieces are much sturdier than paper; thus they're "microwavable, freezer safe, oil resistant, and capable of handling hot foods and beverages." Never mind that some people consider using disposable dinnerware tacky when entertaining (maybe it's a cultural thing, but I grew up using paper plates at every family gathering), but if you'd rather use your fine china when guests are over, consider these the next time you're planning a picnic.........
