Sony Z710 Cell Phone

Sony Z710 Cell Phone
Say hello to the brand new Sony Z710 cell phone, a clamshell with an attitude. Aimed at business users, the Z710 is compatible with EDGE networks across the world and also includes a 2.0 megapixel camera.

Productivity is the keyword, with support for a full HTML browser (Access NetFront - my favorite, incidentally), e-mail clients and an RSS reader so you can keep track of The Whack and other news/traffic reports while on the move. The phone is bundled with a 64MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) - I guess Sony will never grow tired of them anytime soon. It is, of course, expandable up to 1GB and that's a good sign.

The Sony Z710 includes an integrated digital music player, but the cooler part is that Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP (audio distribution profile - with stereo!) is available. Bring on your Bluetooth stereo headsets and enjoy freedom from wires. The USB interface to the phone is handy to transfer images or other multimedia from the phone to the PC and back.

Supported audio formats include MP3, AAC and the newer e-AAC+. Being a clamshell, it sports dual displays. The external one is rather large at 1.5" offering a 128x128 pixel resolution white-on-blue LCD. As is the norm with Sony Ericsson, the Sony Z710 will be available in two versions:
